Senior Technical Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.

📋 Description

• Collaborates with customers, end-users, technical analysts, and application designers to articulate the data requirements and architecture for Business Intelligence (BI) applications;

• Creates models for the data warehouse or data mart, focusing on data structure, storage, and integration;

• Partners with our team to consolidate large data sets for utilization within Domo solutions;

• Develops, designs, and refines complex SQL queries;

• Oversees the database analysis, design, and construction process;

• Maps source system data to data warehouse models;

• Formulates strategies for data acquisition and the integration of new data into Domo's Data Engine.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in supporting business intelligence systems in a BI or ETL Developer capacity;

• Proficient SQL skills are essential;

• Expertise in both Windows and Linux environments;

• Familiarity with at least one of the following database technologies and knowledge of others: relational, columnar, and NoSQL (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, MSSQL, Vertica, MongoDB);

• Solid understanding of data modeling skills, including conceptual, logical, and physical model design - encompassing traditional 3rd normal form as well as dimensional modeling techniques, such as star and snowflake;

• Experience managing large data sets;

• Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables and VBA (Visual Basic for Applications);

• Goal-driven with a keen attention to detail;

• Proven track record of effectively collaborating with business teams to achieve their objectives;

• A Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
