Senior Technical Application Engineer – North Central Territory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.

📋 Description

• Partner with Sales Directors to define technical solutions that meet utility needs, while suggesting options that enhance value for both the customer and Hubbell.

• Create and present demonstrations of both hardware and software solutions.

• Comprehend utility systems and software, and explain how Hubbell solutions interact with and enhance the utility's operations.

• Evaluate and address both functional and technical aspects of RFIs/RFPs.

• Communicate customer needs to the Product Management teams for hardware and software.

• Offer technical sales assistance to distributors and manufacturer representatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline is mandatory; a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering is preferred.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in the utility industry is preferred, with direct utility experience being advantageous.

• In-depth knowledge of Smart Grid concepts, including Metering, AMI, Distribution Automation and Technologies, Demand Response, etc.

• Experience in Electric Utility Engineering and/or Operations is preferred.

• Capability to create and present engaging software product presentations and demonstrations.

• Ability to work autonomously without the need for daily supervision.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% by air or land.
