This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver pre-sales technical and product solution consultation for all Controls-related offerings tailored specifically for the Nuclear Industry.
• Take ownership of developing the pipeline strategy to facilitate future business in NAM for the Nuclear sector.
• Cultivate and sustain a comprehensive understanding of the GE Mark system platform solutions and service offerings.
• Actively engage with customers to comprehend their business objectives, operational goals, and control system risks, while tailoring GE Vernova SCS solutions to effectively address their requirements.
• Investigate and analyze competitors’ regional value propositions and market entry strategies, aiding in the formulation of effective sales and solution strategies.
• Assist in optimal opportunity strategy and execution, encompassing proposal development, delivery, and monitoring.
• Build relationships with key regional clients to maintain awareness of current challenges and foster a preference for GE Vernova SCS solutions.
• Support the Sales team by providing technical product solutions, presentations, and demonstrations, leveraging application knowledge in specific opportunities, and participating in site surveys—all related to Lifecycle Solutions.
• Assess the suitable solution scope for opportunities to quote, aiding the Sales and Commercial team in generating competitive proposals.
• Serve as the regional reference point for technical inquiries regarding the Nuclear Industry for the Controls product line.
• Collaborate with Product Line leadership to stay abreast of market trends and anticipate shifts in the market, including regulations, threats, and competitor strategies, while continuously educating Regional Teams on market dynamics and solution innovations.
• Spearhead efforts to identify relevant case studies and successful customer projects.
• Present technical project/product information at industry forums (SOA/User meetings/Conferences) and regional industry/application events.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
• At least 15 years of experience in the nuclear power sector.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience with steam turbine, generator, and control technologies, including associated products, systems, and services.
• A minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in one or more of the following domains: sales, project management, engineering, or field services.
• Proven success in leading control system migrations (e.g., Mark V to Mark VIe) within North American nuclear facilities, particularly focused on Balance of Plant (BoP), FWLC systems, Turbine Controls, and Excitation Systems.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.
• Capability to manage and influence within a matrix environment.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.
• Collaborative team-oriented working style.
• Effective time management skills and the ability to work across various functions.
• Ability to operate independently and demonstrate self-initiative.
• Strong business acumen and analytical skills.
• Provide demand forecasting and pacing support for Sales Operations/Finance.
• Knowledge of Gas and/or Steam Turbine and Generator Controls.
• Understanding of Services & Aftermarket business models.
• Willingness to travel more than 30% of the time.
• Mastery in Control Logic Design, particularly for multi-element control strategies for Feedwater and Steam Generator/Drum level systems, including advanced management of process transients (shrink/swell).
• Extensive knowledge of Nuclear Regulatory Compliance, specifically 10 CFR 50 Appendix B and NQA-1 quality standards as they relate to digital control system upgrades.
• Experience in the process of dedicating commercial digital controls for nuclear plant service (Commercial Grade Dedication - CGD).
• Ability to model and tune controls to prevent "unplanned reactor trips" during BOP system operations or load variations.
• Strict adherence to electrical and logical isolation standards (e.g., IEEE 384) to safeguard safety-related systems from non-safety control modifications.
• Proven capability to engineer "bridge" solutions for replacing legacy analog or proprietary control hardware while minimizing the scope of field-side wiring modifications.
