This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist in the Enterprise Risk Management and internal controls initiatives for the Defense Logistics Agency.
• Provide guidance and support to DLA in maintaining compliance for fully auditable financial statement reporting.
• Evaluate DLA’s business policies and operational processes from end to end.
• Deliver accounting, risk assessment, and audit assistance.
• Evaluate, document, and address Notices of Findings and Recommendations (NFRs).
• Review policies and procedures related to personnel, acquisition, inventory, property, and material management.
• Aid in the design and execution of the ERM process for audit-related tasks.
• Examine NFRs and collaborate with stakeholders on remediation strategies.
• Detect deficiencies and risks in financial statements and conduct root-cause analysis to formulate recommendations.
• Test business processes and system controls.
• Support the implementation of management solutions, including training development.
• Utilize knowledge of GAAP, GAGAS, OMB A-123, and FASAB.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a business management-related field from an accredited institution.
• US citizenship is mandatory.
• At least eight years of experience in relevant fields such as Business Strategy, Transformational Change Management, Human Resources, Business Process Re-engineering, Project Management, Process Improvement, Property, Plant, and Equipment, Heritage Assets, Environmental Liabilities, Actuarial Sciences, Imputed Costs, or Data Analysis.
• Experience with GAAP/GAGAS/ICOR.
• Knowledge of DoD and DLA financial management policies and procedures.
• Familiarity with Celonis.
• Experience working with large and complex organizations.
• Understanding of the Federal Government's operational procedures.
• Proven experience in analyzing and assessing substantial amounts of data.
• Familiarity with deploying solutions that support strategic initiatives.
• Experience with Oracle-based Enterprise Resource Planning systems.
• Knowledge of developing reference guidance.
• Familiarity with OUSD AT&L policies and requirements.
• Understanding of specific SFFAS standards and Technical Releases.
• Familiarity with market-based appraisals.
• Knowledge of the valuation of long-lived assets, including alternative valuation methodologies.
• Understanding of accounting requirements for Environmental Liabilities.
• Familiarity with DoD systems that track environmental liabilities.
• Understanding of requirements for imputed costs.
• Knowledge of DoD heritage assets.
• Ability to successfully pass a background investigation.
