This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas, +1 more state.
• Act as a strategic consultant for clients regarding state and local tax credits, incentives, and economic development initiatives.
• Lead and manage extensive, intricate, multi-jurisdictional projects.
• Direct and handle negotiations with state and local governmental bodies.
• Provide high-level guidance on employment expansion, workforce retention, and training approaches.
• Own and nurture essential client relationships, serving as the primary liaison.
• Propel business development activities, which include proposal crafting and client presentations.
• Lead, mentor, and cultivate high-achieving teams.
• Contribute to the growth and innovation of the practice.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, engineering, technology, or a related discipline.
• An advanced degree or professional credential is highly preferred (CPA, CMI, MST, MAcc, LLM, or JD).
• A minimum of 8+ years of experience in tax consulting, advisory, or public accounting.
• Extensive knowledge in State Credits & Incentives.
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including mentoring, team development, and performance management.
• Strong skills in business development.
• Outstanding analytical, communication, and presentation abilities.
