Senior Systems Software Engineer – GPU Performance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Oversee the execution of performance practices within extensive GPU infrastructure, providing robust tools, methodologies, and processes to validate and enhance various datacenter products simultaneously.

• Ensure alignment of next-generation AI workloads with the latest datacenter developments for NVIDIA GPUs, CPUs, and networking solutions.

• Collaborate early with internal teams across hardware, firmware, software, and platform, as well as customer teams.

• Create engineering solutions that yield ongoing insights into the performance of AI workloads in dynamic settings, delivering rapid feedback on enhancements and regressions.

• Break down complex performance or stability challenges into simplified reproduction cases to identify the underlying causes.

• Engage in partnerships with multiple software and firmware teams (BMC/SBIOS/OS/drivers, etc.) to devise exceptional methods and tools.

• Examine, troubleshoot, and rectify critical firmware and software problems to attain optimal AI workload performance at scale.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated knowledge of accelerated computing software stacks (such as CUDA).

• Familiarity with contemporary cloud and container-based enterprise computing architectures, preferably with Slurm.

• Proficient in programming and scripting with C/C++/Python/Bash.

• In-depth understanding of systems architecture and how various components influence performance.

• Experience with container technologies and Linux-based operating systems, with Docker being preferred.

• Background in supporting high-performance computing or deep learning within engineering or academic research settings.

• Excellent teamwork and communication skills, combined with results-oriented analytical capabilities.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science (or equivalent experience); Master’s or PhD preferred along with 10+ years of relevant experience.
