Senior Systems Programmer – Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assist in Disaster Recovery within the Mainframe environment

• Possess a thorough understanding of both Tape and DASD Subsystems

• Conduct Data Recovery for both Tape and DASD systems

• Manage and maintain the DR Plan and DR Technical Scripts (TRP’s)

• Collaborate efficiently with cross-functional technical teams, DRaaS Coordinators, clients, and vendors, while keeping managers informed about the status of drills.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in Mainframe Storage, which includes practical experience with:

• DASD and Tape systems – IBM (DS8k’s, TS7k’s), EMC, Luminex

• Tape management systems such as Broadcom, TMC, IBM RRM, OAM

• VSM Virtual tape solutions and their management

• Global Mirror with Practice, Global Copy, FDR Software, ACS Routines

• Proficiency in IBM IDCAMS

• Knowledge of z/OS JCL

• Experience with SMS routines (DFSMS), DFHSM, and SAS/Vantage reporting for trends

• Familiarity with Tape dump restoration processes
