Senior Systems Engineer – Tactical Network, SATCOM, RF

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.

📋 Description

• Deliver comprehensive systems engineering support for intricate DoW tactical communications systems.

• Direct systems engineering initiatives throughout the lifecycle, including requirements, design, integration, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

• Convert Operational Needs Statements (ONS), Capability Production Documents (CPD), and stakeholder specifications into viable technical solutions.

• Create and sustain system architectures in accordance with Army tactical network standards (e.g., WIN-T, T2C2, NGC2 evolution).

• Guarantee the integration of RF, SATCOM, and IP-based transport systems into cohesive architectures.

• Assist in engineering working groups, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), and technical evaluations (SRR, PDR, CDR).

• Perform interoperability evaluations across joint, coalition, and commercial interfaces.

• Offer technical oversight for lab integration, field testing, and technology incorporation efforts.

• Produce technical documentation such as CONOPS, architecture diagrams, interface control documents, and test plans/reports.

• Aid in system-level troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and operational evaluations.

• Collaborate with Government stakeholders, Project Managers, and industry partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline (Master's preferred).

• 8–12+ years of pertinent experience.

• Profound knowledge of DoW systems engineering methodologies and lifecycle frameworks.

• Familiarity with Army Tactical Networks (WIN-T or subsequent systems).

• Understanding of SATCOM architectures (TDMA/FDMA), RF systems, and waveform integration.

• Strong grasp of IP networking principles and protocols.

• Experience with DoDAF, architecture development, and system documentation.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (or higher).
