Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for and manage all technical elements of the designated project from award to system acceptance.

• Finalize design and implement the radio network, encompassing infrastructure, subscribers, and mobile backhaul.

• Conduct customer presentations.

• Oversee system staging.

• Perform system acceptance testing.

• Execute radio coverage testing and interference mitigation.

• Manage radio system licensing (FCC/Industry Canada/NTIA).

• Prepare system fleetmap, encryption, and radio programming templates.

• Complete all necessary system documentation.

• Facilitate live system upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 5+ years of experience in Systems Engineering or Wireless Communications OR a Master’s Degree with 3+ years of relevant experience or equivalent OR 7-8+ years of professional engineering experience.

• Willingness to travel 25% to 50% to support all project phases, from design through final acceptance.

• Must have legal authorization to work in the U.S. indefinitely.

• Background in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless, or broadband/LTE.

• Solid understanding and practical knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies, and troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS).

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Juniper JNCIA-Junos, Nokia NRS1, CCNA, or similar.

• Exceptional communication skills with an ability to articulate complex topics to non-technical audiences.

• Self-motivated with the capacity to maintain focus in a high-pressure environment.

• Prior knowledge and experience working with Juniper, Aviat, Cisco, Nokia/Alcatel, Xtreme, Ceragon.

• Familiarity with switching and routing protocols (OSPF, ISIS, iBGP, eBGP, M-BGP, MPLS RSVP TE, and LDP).
