Senior Systems and Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain a network infrastructure based on Juniper technology, ensuring optimal availability and performance.

• Deploy, configure, and oversee Zabbix monitoring systems to proactively identify and address issues.

• Administer and enhance Linux-based environments, utilizing Python/Bash scripting for automation and effective system management.

• Manage and optimize MySQL databases (preferably Percona MySQL) to guarantee data integrity, performance, and scalability.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot intricate issues and provide technical solutions.

• Document processes, configurations, and best practices to support operational excellence.

• Ensure adherence to security standards and actively contribute to ongoing improvement initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of extensive hands-on experience with Juniper networking technologies.

• Proficient in the setup and administration of Zabbix monitoring systems.

• Strong foundation in Linux system administration with scripting capabilities in Python and Bash.

• Expertise in MySQL database management, preferably with Percona MySQL.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work independently in a dynamic environment.

• Outstanding communication and documentation skills.

• Experience in telecom or high-availability environments is a plus.
