Senior Systems Analyst, Interfaces/Bridges

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Develop and support HL7 interfaces for Epic EHR and associated systems.

• Design, construct, test, and deploy interfaces utilizing Epic Bridges and HL7 standards.

• Monitor and maintain the performance of interfaces, ensuring data integrity and timely processing of messages.

• Troubleshoot and resolve errors in interfaces, message failures, and discrepancies in data.

• Conduct HL7 message mapping, transformation, and validation (ADT, ORM, ORU, SIU, etc.).

• Review updates to Epic releases and implement necessary changes to interfaces.

• Assist in the maintenance, upgrades, and enhancements of the interface engine.

• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to facilitate integrations and troubleshoot issues.

• Keep accurate and current interface documentation and standard operating procedures.

• Engage in system testing, including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing.

• Ensure adherence to healthcare data standards, security protocols, and interoperability requirements.

⛳️ Requirements

• Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution, ideally in Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related area.

• Epic Bridges Certification.

• Previous professional experience in developing and supporting interfaces within the Epic EHR environment and ancillary applications.

• Strong expertise in HL7 interface design, development, and support.

• Proven track record in building and maintaining HL7 message types (ADT, Orders, Results, Scheduling, etc.).

• Prior experience with Epic Bridges interface development and support.

• Previous professional experience with integration engines such as InterSystems IRIS for Health.

• Prior experience in HL7 data mapping and transformation.

• Strong troubleshooting and analytical capabilities.
