This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +2 more states.
β’ Take ownership of the comprehensive software integration strategy for products encompassing firmware, BSP, drivers, GPU software, services, testing, and release systems.
β’ Lead the system-level debugging process for issues such as boot failures, system hangs, crashes, unexpected resets, power-transition failures, performance regressions, update failures, and interactions between firmware and drivers.
β’ Utilize crash dumps, event logs, traces, UART output, firmware logs, telemetry, and hardware diagnostics to identify failures across various system layers.
β’ Develop automated failure classification to differentiate between product defects and issues related to infrastructure, configuration, devices, testing harnesses, and flaky tests.
β’ Spearhead root-cause analysis and corrective measures for escaped defects, integration failures, and persistent infrastructure challenges.
β’ Incorporate OEM and partner software into the NVIDIA software ecosystem to guarantee compliance, stability, and meet power/performance benchmarks for production platforms.
β’ Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to prioritize issues across firmware, drivers, kernel, and hardware layers.
β’ Work in partnership with architecture, silicon, firmware, and OS engineering teams to facilitate new feature development and ensure seamless cross-component integration.
β’ Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
β’ Over 12 years of pertinent software development experience.
β’ In-depth understanding of ARM microarchitecture and exception levels, particularly in integration, triage, and debugging.
β’ Familiarity with SoC architecture covering Boot, Security, Power, and OS bring-up.
β’ Solid grasp of ACPI and Device Tree concepts.
β’ Proficient in C/C++ and Python for automation and validation tools.
β’ Strong understanding of Kernel and Hypervisor internals in both Windows and Linux environments.
β’ Experience in integrating drivers/firmware and debugging kernel components, with a specific focus on Windows systems.
β’ Proven track record of resolving issues within large, complex systems deployed at scale.
β’ Advanced system-level debugging expertise.
β’ Experience in enhancing system-level reliability and resiliency features.
β’ Background in product integration and handling end-to-end deliverables.
β’ Acquainted with system-level security concepts.
