This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee drafting and data processing tasks within the allocated time frame.
• Examine Survey Field Packs for precision and thoroughness, ensuring all aspects of the work scope are addressed.
• Instruct on Ascent layering conventions, drafting methodologies, and workflows.
• Ensure accurate and complete data is handed off to all departments.
• Take initiative as needed to guarantee that deadlines are achieved.
• Develop drafting templates for various projects.
• Assess infrastructure routes for precision, thoroughness, and correctness of existing crossings.
• Organize and lead large-scale drafting initiatives.
• Conduct QA/QC on all drafting and data processing tasks.
• Review and compile client submissions.
• Participate in or lead client meetings and screen sharing sessions for planning and design purposes.
• Communicate with field crews and generate calculations on demand to support field operations.
• Provide assistance to other team members facing challenges.
• Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the Survey/GIS relationship and the specific processes at Ascent.
• Support workflow documentation, enhancement, and execution.
• A minimum of 4 years of relevant survey/drafting experience.
• Proficient in Civil 3D.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of Coordinate Systems.
• Knowledge of Public Land Survey System.
• Familiarity with Aliquot Parts.
• Proficient in Metes and Bounds Descriptions.
• Experience with Public Records Research.
• Reliable internet access.
• Designated, quiet workspace.
