Senior Supply Chain Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete execution process for industrial service orders, from receipt and validation to scheduling, transportation coordination, plant processing, and final disposal confirmation.

• Confirm material acceptance in accordance with plant capabilities, operational limitations, customer specifications, and available capacity; ensure all necessary information is ready before proceeding with execution.

• Assess transportation methods for each service order, prioritizing Divert fleet assets and escalating to third-party logistics providers when capacity, timing, or cost dictates a better option; utilize the vetted 3PL vendor pool to gather quotes, check availability, and choose the most suitable option, maintaining cost discipline in the decision-making process.

• Maintain and relay a comprehensive, real-time overview of the industrial schedule across Divert facilities, managing inbound timing, plant capacity, and same-day changes with precision and accountability.

• Act as the main operational liaison for customers during execution, managing pickup logistics, providing status updates, resolving issues, and handling changes with professionalism and urgency.

• Work closely with Plant Operations and Transportation teams to address schedule disruptions, routing modifications, and capacity challenges as they occur.

• Make real-time routing and outlet decisions using approved disposal pathways, cost-per-ton considerations, and operational constraints, identifying the best available path when the planned one is not feasible.

• Document and monitor all execution costs, transportation expenses, and operational data to facilitate reporting, trend analysis, and P&L transparency; track performance against operational budgets and profitability goals.

• Lead the development of scheduling tools, reporting methods, and operational analytics, identifying manual processes that consume time and resources, defining requirements, and collaborating on system enhancements that promote efficiency and cost-effectiveness.

• Spot continuous improvement opportunities across scheduling, transportation coordination, data management, and execution workflows, converting operational insights into scalable processes that support the growth of Divert's industrial platform.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with a focus on Business or Operations.

• Over 5 years of experience in a transportation or logistics role.

• Proficient in TMS and analytic systems (TMS, WMS, ERP or similar).

• Proven ability to interpret and analyze data to foster improvements.

• Strong understanding of transportation regulations, safety protocols, and compliance programs.

• Experience in budget management and influencing outcomes.

• Exceptional communication, collaboration, and change management skills.
