This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

📋 Description

• Identifies key decision-makers within the target organization.

• Establishes an internal advocate within the target organization.

• Collaboratively develops a Partnership Engagement plan that is mutually agreed upon, featuring measurable objectives aimed at enhancing collective business growth.

• Directs supplier interactions to foster strategic alliances, secure new business opportunities, and leverage relationships to expand partnerships into new product lines, regions, and customer segments.

• Formulates sales strategies and action plans to effectively advance opportunities, ensuring that related supplier relationship notes are consistently updated to meet established standards. This includes regular documentation of supplier interactions, teleconferences, and visits.

• Cultivates strong, trustworthy relationships throughout the organization to gain the necessary influence to execute the plan.

• Develops and takes ownership of the overall engagement plan and deal framework.

• Coordinates Supplier interactions with other members of the ChemPoint team.

• Conducts Strategy Sessions prior to Supplier visits with all participants, outlining the current situation, critical issues to address, and desired outcomes.

• Follows up with the team and supplier, ensuring that any outstanding action items are being addressed.


⛳️ Requirements

• A 4-year college degree or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 15 years of experience in strategic marketing, management, direct sales, or business development within the chemical industry.

• Proven ability to establish and maintain a robust network of trusted relationships with supplier executives.

• Strong management skills and leadership qualities.

• Excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills.

• Proficient in presentation, written, and verbal communication, along with active listening abilities.

• Competent in consultative selling techniques.

• Familiarity with pricing and marketing strategies and effective short- and long-term execution practices.

• Comprehensive understanding of ChemPoint's internal processes and the functions of internal teams, IT applications, products, value-added services, and the industries served.

• Strong PC skills are required, including database experience.

• Proficient in using business tools such as Teams and PowerPoint to support Supplier presentations.

• Comfortable engaging with Suppliers in person, over the phone, or through web meetings as appropriate.

• Willingness to travel 50-75% (domestic or international).
