Senior Supervisory Attorney – Insurance Coverage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Perform legal research and prepare coverage opinions across all lines of business.

• Examine knowledge articles and standard operating procedures to ensure compliance with state laws and regulations.

• Address claims-related inquiries from both staff and management.

• Support responses to complaints from the Department of Insurance.

• Create consistent strategies across states on specific recurring issues.

• Supervise external counsel during Examinations Under Oath (EUOs).

• Draft Reservation of Rights and coverage disclaimer correspondence.

• Engage in Claims roundtables as a legal authority.

⛳️ Requirements

• Prior experience in coverage matters.

• Proven track record of delivering customer-focused solutions, support, or service.

• Demonstrated experience in preparing civil pleadings, motions, and discovery while deposing witnesses.

• Established litigation experience.

• Strong knowledge and understanding of the rules of Professional Responsibility for the relevant jurisdiction.

• Comprehensive knowledge of tort, contract, and insurance law.

• Juris Doctor degree.
