Senior Structural Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Develop structural and civil designs from initial concepts through to construction and final completion.

• Create and assess designs to ensure alignment with Australian Standards and client specifications.

• Offer senior technical insights across various projects.

• Evaluate site inspection reports, images, and related documents for footings, slabs, retaining walls, framing, and steelwork, providing remote technical guidance as necessary.

• Address design and construction challenges as they emerge.

• Guide and mentor junior engineers while providing support to drafting personnel when needed.

• Ensure quality, workplace health and safety (WHS), and design compliance throughout all projects.

• Play a role in project direction and assist junior team members across residential, commercial, and rural development initiatives.

• Operate with increasing independence throughout the project lifecycle to deliver effective, high-quality solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.

• At least 6 years of pertinent engineering consultancy experience.

• Background in residential and commercial structural engineering projects.

• Experience in civil engineering, including earthworks, drainage, stormwater management, and road design.

• Strong skills in design, site assessment, and construction support.

• Proficient in structural design software and the creation of engineering documentation.

• Skilled in AutoCAD for structural design and documentation purposes.

• Exceptional communication abilities and a positive, proactive mindset towards work and problem-solving.

• CPEng and RPEQ credentials, or actively pursuing these qualifications.

• Must be based in the Philippines.

• Availability to align with Australian business hours, roughly 9 AM–5 PM, Monday to Friday.

• Required to disclose any ongoing roles or client engagements.

• Must represent the engagement on LinkedIn as “Independent Contractor.”
