Senior Strategic Finance Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Act as a crucial analytical resource for onX’s CEO, CFO, and Senior Director of FP&A.

• Oversee comprehensive analysis on special and ad hoc projects aimed at enhancing operational and business performance.

• Detect trends and discrepancies, create narratives, and provide clear recommendations.

• Conduct financial modeling and analysis for organic and inorganic growth prospects, new business initiatives, pricing strategies, and operational investments.

• Manage projects related to market sizing, scenario modeling, and long-term strategic opportunity evaluations.

• Develop and rigorously test business cases for significant strategic initiatives.

• Independently gather, extract, and manipulate data from both internal and external sources utilizing tools like Tableau, PitchBook, and Amplitude.

• Collaborate with Business Intelligence to establish scalable data pipelines, enhance data accessibility, and support the development of analytical infrastructure.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Statistics, or a related analytical field.

• A minimum of six (6) years of experience in finance, strategy, investment banking, management consulting, or a related analytical role.

• Advanced proficiency in SQL, including the ability to write complex queries, join multiple data sources, and independently extract insights from large datasets.

• Strong financial modeling skills, including scenario analysis, sensitivity modeling, DCF, and ROI frameworks.

• Experience working closely with or in proximity to a Business Intelligence or data engineering function.

• Proven experience in evaluating M&A opportunities and conducting in-depth strategic business and market analysis, such as market sizing, competitive analysis, and assessing investment or growth opportunities.

• Ability to thrive in high-ambiguity environments with minimal guidance, structure problems from the ground up, and drive actionable conclusions.

• Outstanding written communication skills and experience in producing narrative-format analyses and recommendations for senior leadership.

• Comfort in presenting complex analyses to C-suite executives and senior leadership, including managing pushback and adapting as needed.

• Eagerness to learn and actively utilize AI tools to enhance analytical speed and quality.

• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving abilities with the capacity to manage multiple high-priority projects simultaneously.

• Experience in a B2C SaaS or subscription-based business is highly preferred.

• Permanent US work authorization is a requirement for employment with onX.
