This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and execute complex or high-stakes client projects across multiple simultaneous engagements.
• Act as the lead technical or subject-matter authority on assigned initiatives, ensuring the credibility and quality of deliverables.
• Serve as the primary strategic collaborator with senior-level client stakeholders.
• Provide guidance to clients on issues related to Healthcare Clinical Performance, Quality, and Value-Based Care, including analysis, interpretation, and implementation.
• Advocate for the Contract Performance Optimization Offering while aiding in the development of 105% Quality Programs.
• Identify opportunities for enhanced client support and spearhead internal innovation workgroups.
• Engage in sales conversations and scope formulation as a technical specialist.
• Develop solutions, assess effort, and keep abreast of emerging quality, population health, and regulatory trends.
• Refine service offerings, create reusable tools and frameworks, and shape market messaging.
• Establish professional networks among payers, providers, state agencies, and industry associations.
• Contribute to white papers, conference presentations, and relevant events.
• Make strategic decisions that influence client outcomes in complex or unprecedented situations.
• Lead intricate, multi-workstream engagements by coordinating delivery teams, setting expectations, managing timelines, and ensuring high-quality results.
• Ensure disciplined engagement management, encompassing scope definition, communication protocols, and risk mitigation strategies.
• Mentor and offer technical support to junior and mid-level staff.
• Foster talent development by exemplifying consultative behavior, strategic thinking, and collaboration.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, or Health Administration.
• At least 15 years of combined experience in public healthcare policy management and/or healthcare consulting, with a strong emphasis on sales.
• Extensive background in healthcare quality, population health, Value-Based Care, Medicaid finance, Medicaid services, healthcare policy, or related consulting/government roles, demonstrating leadership on complex projects.
• In-depth knowledge of national and state quality programs, including HEDIS, CMS Stars, CAHPS, QRS, and CMS payment models such as AHEAD.
• Expertise in population health frameworks, risk adjustment, and quality analytics.
• Established technical credibility and judgment in high-pressure environments.
• Proven ability to independently deliver complex client projects and act as a trusted senior advisor.
• Documented experience and success in public health financing and policy advocacy.
• Executive or Administrator-level experience leading teams to design, execute, and implement substantial changes for state Medicaid programs, healthcare providers, and managed care organizations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong skills in cross-organizational collaboration, relationship-building, and a consultative approach.
• Excellent oral and written communication abilities, including the capacity to clarify complex technical concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong time management skills.
• Experience collaborating with lobbyists, government relations personnel, and senior state or hospital officials is preferred.
• Experience in quantitative program evaluation is highly desirable.
• An advanced degree in Public Policy, Public Administration, Public Health, Health Administration, business, economics, or an MBA is preferred.
