This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Administer and optimize Dell PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, and PowerVault platforms across various client environments.
• Take ownership of configuration baselines, capacity management, and overall platform health.
• Identify and resolve storage performance challenges using metrics such as IOPS, throughput, latency, queue depth, and controller utilization data.
• Manage storage networking tasks, including Fibre Channel zoning, iSCSI or NVMe-oF configuration, multipathing, VLANs, and MTU settings.
• Oversee array firmware and OS upgrades, controller and drive replacements, as well as handle Dell support cases.
• Plan and carry out storage migrations and array-based replication with minimal disruption to workloads.
• Act as the technical lead during incidents that impact storage.
• Review capacity, performance, and health reports, proactively addressing any risks identified.
• Automate provisioning, reporting, and health checks through scripting and array APIs.
• Document root cause analyses, implement structured change management, and maintain comprehensive storage documentation.
• Provide clients with status updates, capacity insights, and best-practice recommendations.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with teams focused on virtualization, data protection, and networking.
• 12+ years of experience in infrastructure engineering.
• A minimum of 3 years dedicated to VDI or end-user computing platforms, accompanied by platform ownership experience.
• Proficient in English.
• Hands-on expertise with at least one Dell platform, such as PowerFlex, PowerStore, PowerScale, or PowerVault, including provisioning, upgrades, performance tuning, and management of support cases.
• Familiarity with block, file, and object storage in environments running VMware vSphere and either Windows or Linux hosts.
• Practical storage networking experience utilizing Fibre Channel and IP-based protocols, which includes iSCSI, NFS, SMB, NVMe over TCP, and multipathing.
• Experience in planning and executing storage migrations and configuring array-based replication.
• Capable of automation through AI tools, scripting languages like PowerShell or Python, and array APIs.
• Proven experience in writing formal root cause analyses and working within a structured change management framework.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to operate independently across multiple client environments.
• Previous experience in an MSP or similar multi-client context.
• An Associate's or Bachelor's degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Preferred certifications in Dell Technologies or comparable enterprise storage.
• Familiarity with PowerProtect Data Domain, Veeam, and Dell VxRail is advantageous.
• Experience with other enterprise array vendors and compliance frameworks such as PCI DSS, HIPAA, SOC 2, or TPN is preferred.
• Training and certification opportunities on Dell storage platforms.
• Mentorship and collaboration with teams focused on virtualization, data protection, and networking.
