Senior Statistical Data Scientist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.

📋 Description

• Work collaboratively with seed engineers, breeders, biologists, and data engineers.

• Convert intricate statistical findings into straightforward, actionable insights.

• Design and evaluate biological and experimental datasets with rigorous statistical methods.

• Create predictive models to guide breeding and product development decisions.

• Utilize machine learning techniques when they provide significant advantages over traditional statistics.

• Ensure that experimental findings are reliable, reproducible, and thoroughly validated.

⛳️ Requirements

• MSc or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Applied Mathematics, Quantitative Genetics, Econometrics, or a related discipline.

• Solid foundation in statistical inference, experimental design, regression analysis, and mixed models.

• Proficiency in Python and/or R programming.

• Knowledge of predictive modeling and contemporary machine learning techniques.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to distill complex concepts.

• A keen interest in scientific problem-solving that goes beyond conventional analytics.
