This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee state government relations for designated states and impact legislative outcomes that affect CoreWeave's growth and operations.

• Cultivate strong relationships with state officials, policymakers, and their teams.

• Contribute to the development of CoreWeave’s state government relations strategy and promote policy initiatives that facilitate expansion and development.

• Collaborate with governors’ offices, state legislators, economic development agencies, local consultants, trade associations, and advocacy organizations.

• Take charge of legislative and political engagement for the Southeast region's assigned states.

• Create and implement state-specific engagement strategies, identify key stakeholders, foresee emerging issues, set milestones, and propose action and escalation strategies.

• Track, assess, and interpret state legislative and regulatory changes pertinent to data centers, AI infrastructure, energy policy, and economic development.

• Establish and uphold relationships with state lawmakers, their staff, and other key stakeholders.

• Perform policy research and competitive analysis to pinpoint coalition, working group, and advocacy opportunities.

• Collaborate with commercial, legal, communications, and operations teams on government relations objectives.

• Act as CoreWeave's representative at hearings, industry events, and stakeholder meetings.

• Foster data center growth and economic development through AI advancements.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related discipline.

• At least 10 years of progressive experience in multi-state government relations, legislative affairs, or a closely related policy role.

• Extensive knowledge of state legislative and regulatory processes and their implications for business outcomes.

• Demonstrated success in developing and maintaining bipartisan relationships with government officials and policymakers.

• Strong research and analytical capabilities with the ability to distill complex policy information.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the capacity to customize messaging for diverse audiences.

• Proven ability to operate independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and drive initiatives to completion.

• Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Evidence of executing strategies within a collaborative team framework.

• Robust experience in multi-state government affairs.

• Background in technology, tax policy, energy policy, or infrastructure development.

• Familiarity with AI, cloud computing, or related technology sectors.

• Experience in coalition building or advocacy campaign management.

• Understanding of the political landscape and key decision-makers in various state markets, particularly in Texas.

• Proven record of achieving business results or revenue impact through government affairs activities.

• Applicants must either be U.S. persons eligible to access export-controlled information without required export authorization, or eligible and likely to obtain the necessary export authorization.
