This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, implement, and sustain both internal and external software products spanning frontend, backend, data, and AI components.
• Take ownership of the entire product lifecycle, encompassing architecture, observability, reliability, and continuous maintenance.
• Create systems that empower analysts, operators, and subject matter experts to adjust their own tools without needing to submit engineering support requests.
• Collaborate directly with users to grasp processes, co-develop solutions, and assist them in enhancing solutions autonomously.
• Ensure that user-contributed code and workflows are safe to execute, easy to review, and simple to maintain.
• Architect a unified data foundation that links business systems, operational data, and plant telemetry.
• Develop tested transformation pipelines and a governed semantic layer.
• Maintain consistent definitions for crucial concepts across dashboards, AI assistants, applications, and autonomous agents.
• Establish and enforce access controls for sensitive, proprietary, and counterparty-restricted data.
• Guarantee that products, workflows, and AI interfaces adhere to authorization boundaries.
• Create AI evaluation systems to detect task failures, tool-calling mistakes, grounding gaps, security vulnerabilities, and regressions.
• Implement safeguards for AI systems that impact financial decisions, operational dispatch, or customer obligations.
• Define architectural patterns, development practices, and technical guidelines throughout Antora’s software ecosystem.
• Contribute to shaping product vision, data models, AI integration, and business logic.
• Translate ambiguous user requirements into actionable solutions and deliver dependable production software.
• Proficient in Python and TypeScript.
• Comfortable working with both frontend and backend systems.
• Experience in managing applications from start to finish, including deployment, observability, reliability, and maintenance.
• Background in creating and deploying LLM-powered systems utilized by real users.
• Proficient with SQL, warehouse modeling, and tools such as dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
• Experience in delivering data changes through CI.
• Proactive approach to data quality, freshness, lineage, and testing.
• Proven track record of collaborating with non-engineers.
• Comfortable with pairing, teaching, reviewing pull requests, and enabling users to become self-sufficient.
• Ability to articulate product, data, AI, and software engineering considerations clearly.
• Capability to differentiate meaningful risk controls from unnecessary processes.
• Deep expertise in one or more core areas, coupled with intellectual curiosity, sound judgment, and a willingness to learn across the stack.
• Bonus: Experience in building or maintaining semantic layers using dbt or Cube.
• Bonus: Familiarity with ClickHouse, time-series data, or IoT systems.
