Senior Staff Software Engineer – Blockchain Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and lead the multi-quarter technical strategy for the Blockchain Platform, encompassing nodes, wallets, indexing, and asset lifecycle, aimed at supporting new chains, innovative products, and substantial growth in on-chain transaction volume.

• Design and enhance the foundational infrastructure of the Blockchain Platform - including nodes, indexers, wallet systems, and liquidity primitives - to ensure high availability, low latency, cost efficiency, and security on a global scale.

• Oversee the comprehensive design and implementation of large-scale, cross-team architectural projects (e.g., wallet stack rearchitecture, indexing stack redesign, asset identifier system), transforming high ambiguity into clear milestones and quantifiable outcomes.

• Establish and uphold technical standards for correctness, security, and reliability across all operations involving crypto assets, covering transaction finality, key management, reconciliation, and failure-mode handling for all on-chain processes.

• Promote engineering efficiency throughout the organization by defining standards for testing, quality, automation, and observability, while advocating for AI-native strategies that lessen operational burdens and empower agents to act as front-line operators.

• Leverage data and observability metrics (e.g., transaction success rates, node reliability, indexing latency, on-call burden) to pinpoint structural platform deficiencies and spearhead systematic improvements in reliability and efficiency.

• Represent the Blockchain Platform in executive and cross-organizational forums, effectively communicating trade-offs, aligning stakeholders on strategy, and securing support for high-impact technical initiatives, including emerging domains such as Yield and Stablecoins.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience with high-throughput transaction systems that necessitate strong auditability, idempotency, and financial precision.

• Knowledge of staking infrastructure, bridging protocols, or tokenization systems.

• Experience utilizing AI or agent-based automation to minimize operational toil within platform or infrastructure settings.

• A background at a high-scale technology firm with a history of platform-level influence across various teams.
