Senior Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Designing, constructing, and implementing scalable and real-time systems with a focus on quality, scalability, and operability.

• Collaborating with product management, data science, and other engineering teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that provide maximum business value to our customers.

• Reviewing and offering feedback on technical designs and code modifications to ensure highly available, scalable, maintainable designs and adherence to high code quality standards among engineering peers.

• Troubleshooting and addressing complex technical challenges that occur in production, ensuring timely resolutions.

• Proactively recognizing areas of technical debt and opportunities for improvement, while driving innovative solutions within the engineering organization.

• Taking operational responsibility for the system by utilizing monitoring and observability tools to identify and resolve production issues.

• Mentoring and coaching team members to elevate the technical standards of the team and adapt to AI assistant development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 7+ years of overall professional experience, including 5+ years of hands-on experience in microservices and scalable software development.

• Experience with distributed systems, large-scale data, and the complete software lifecycle of modern programming languages (such as Java, Python, etc.).

• Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best practices.

• Proficiency in database design and integration, encompassing both SQL and NoSQL databases.

• Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP) is highly preferred.

• Familiarity with SaaS concepts and a background in developing SaaS-based applications is a plus.

• Preferred domain knowledge in ServiceNow, Salesforce, workflow, business processes, etc.

• Experience in building machine learning products is preferred.
