This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee and participate in the entire design and development lifecycle of computer software systems.
• Create production applications that are highly scalable, reliable, and fault-tolerant.
• Address, investigate, and resolve production issues and escalations during on-call duties.
• Design architecture, influence the product roadmap, and take ownership of new projects.
• Conduct code and design reviews.
• Write, debug, and develop functional applications.
• Identify performance bottlenecks and implement optimizations.
• Lead a team of developers while collaborating with designers and product owners on new features.
• Upgrade legacy applications using advanced technologies.
• Collect and respond to technical and design requirements.
• Set up, maintain, and monitor environments for system health.
• Offer training and support to internal teams.
• Mentor colleagues, lead sprint planning sessions, delegate tasks, and engage in project planning as a Technical Team Lead.
• Introduce and improve tools for service automation and operability.
• Communicate with customers and business stakeholders to deliver software products effectively.
• Establish and uphold engineering organization standards.
• Quickly respond to on-call incidents and resolve critical disruptions to minimize downtime.
• Propel AI-assisted engineering strategies, optimize developer workflows, modernize initiatives, and establish prompt/context engineering standards.
• At least 12 years of relevant software development experience, or 8 years accompanied by an advanced degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Required experience in marketing technology (MarTech), particularly with cookies and platform integrations.
• Proficient in backend development with Java, Kotlin, Spring Boot, and Hibernate.
• Basic Python scripting skills.
• Expertise in AWS, specifically with EKS, Cognito, and batch jobs.
• Experience with Vue.js or React and leading modernization efforts from AngularJS.
• Comprehensive understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, and deployment.
• Significant experience in developing and deploying applications for cloud-native infrastructures.
• Experience in building microservices with an API-first approach.
• Ability to collaborate effectively within an agile framework.
• Advanced knowledge of Kubernetes.
• Advanced expertise with OpenTelemetry.
• Proven track record in planning and leading complex technical projects across multiple teams.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with demonstrated technical contributions.
• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Capability to lift 5–10 pounds unassisted and perform necessary physical movements.
• Must be eligible for full-time employment in the US; employment sponsorship is not available.
• A Master’s degree in engineering, technology, or a related field is preferred.
• Preferred experience with SaaS products in technology and financial industries.
• Preferred experience in building and deploying applications on Amazon Web Services.
