Senior Staff Platform Architect

📋 Description

• Design and implement a secure, multi-tenant AWS architecture leveraging Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) and Managed Streaming for Apache Kafka (MSK).

• Deploy Istio service mesh to enable zero-trust networking and facilitate distributed tracing.

• Create zero-touch GitOps deployment pipelines (ArgoCD/Flux) and enforce Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using Terraform.

• Establish automated architectural and security governance through Policy-as-Code (Open Policy Agent/Rego).

• Ensure rigorous data governance utilizing AWS Glue Schema Registry along with Avro/Protobuf.

• Integrate LLM API gateways within the deployment pipelines to support development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in Cloud Infrastructure, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or Platform Engineering.

• Extensive knowledge of AWS, particularly in EKS and MSK (or enterprise Apache Kafka).

• Advanced skills in Terraform and GitOps methodologies (ArgoCD or Flux).

• Proven experience in writing and enforcing Policy-as-Code (OPA, Checkov, or Kyverno).

• Strong grasp of event-driven architectures, schema registries (Avro/Protobuf), and distributed tracing.

• Demonstrated capacity to approach platform engineering as a software development discipline, emphasizing Developer Experience (DevEx) and self-service automation.
