Senior Network Storage Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver high-level administrative and engineering assistance for SAN fabric infrastructure and core network connectivity.

• Ensure dependable, secure, and high-performing SAN network operations across enterprise data center services and storage-dependent platforms.

• Collaborate closely with the Enterprise Operations Center and infrastructure teams to facilitate 24x7x365 monitoring, incident response, and service restoration.

• Oversee daily SAN fabric infrastructure management using Cisco MDS and Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Set up, deploy, and sustain core SAN network connectivity that supports enterprise storage services.

• Manage all network connections to the SAN for storage, virtualization, replication, and backup/recovery processes.

• Monitor the health, performance, and availability of the SAN network to avert degradation and service interruptions.

• Diagnose SAN connectivity and performance challenges to restore service with minimal operational impact.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in data center network administration for storage area networks (SANs).

• Proficient in working with Cisco MDS and Cisco Nexus platforms.

• Must hold a CCNA Data Center Certification or an equivalent credential.

• CCNP Data Center or a higher Cisco data center specialization is preferred.

• Experience in supporting SAN networking within NetApp-centric enterprise storage environments is preferred.

• Familiarity with supporting DR/COOP failover connectivity across primary and alternate data centers is preferred.

• ITIL 4 Foundation (or equivalent) with a strong focus on incident, problem, and change management practices is preferred.

• Citizenship/Work Authorization: Must comply with contract requirements.

• Clearance: Capability to obtain and maintain SEC Public Trust (or higher if needed).
