Senior Staff Engineer, Supplier Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Process Improvement: Evaluate and integrate enhancements into key supplier processes to identify opportunities for reducing costs, lead times, and improving quality.

• Quality Assurance: Perform on-site audits to identify the root causes of supplier quality issues or performance-related challenges.

• Supplier Development: Evaluate and enhance supplier capabilities, ensuring they align with engineering and operational priorities.

• Engineering Technical Support: Offer technical assistance to suppliers regarding part specifications, manufacturing processes and standards, as well as quality metrics.

• Supplier Performance Monitoring: Monitor and assess supplier performance metrics, such as delivery, quality, and cost. Implement corrective measures and continuous improvement strategies as required.

• Risk Management: Recognize and address risks within the supply chain to ensure seamless production and delivery of components.

• New Product Introduction (NPI): Assist in the launch of new products by verifying that suppliers fulfill all quality and delivery standards during the development phase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in mechanical hardware manufacturing and/or manufacturing engineering, preferably with a focus on composite manufacturing and injection molding.

• Proficient in analyzing and interpreting 2D drawings and critical features of mechanical components.

• Willingness to travel to domestic and international suppliers approximately 50% or more of the time.
