Senior Staff Engineer, LLM

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Engaging in hands-on, daily utilization of AI-enhanced and autonomous coding tools (such as Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and independent coding agents) to compose and refine code, streamline workflows, and enhance engineering processes.

• Expertise in server-side events, event-driven architectures, and messaging systems.

• Demonstrated critical thinking and systems thinking abilities, with experience in debugging, optimizing, and making informed engineering choices across intricate backend systems, rather than merely addressing isolated issues.

• Comprehensive knowledge of security best practices for backend systems, encompassing authentication and data protection.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in developing and experimenting with large language models (LLMs).

• More than 8 years of experience in API development using Python.

• Extensive experience with Python, especially in constructing REST APIs using frameworks such as FastAPI.

• Knowledgeable in natural language processing (NLP) and machine learning in relation to building LLM systems.

• Strong experience with key LLM model APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic).

• Proven track record in building, deploying, and securing MCP servers at scale.

• Familiarity with multi-agent systems and their uses in solving complex problems.

• Experience in designing and implementing retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) systems from start to finish: including vector databases, semantic search, retrieval quality, and chunking strategies.

• Proficient in prompt writing for various applications.

• Experience with generative solutions deployed to production at scale, beyond proof of concepts (POCs).
