Senior Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Offer technical expertise and project management assistance across various PCA locations.

• Oversee capital and maintenance projects from inception to completion—including planning, design, budgeting, execution, and troubleshooting.

• Formulate actionable recommendations utilizing sound engineering judgment.

• Produce drawings, specifications, and guidelines to convey project requirements effectively.

• Guarantee adherence to safety and environmental standards in all project designs and installations.

• Coordinate and manage contractors and engineering teams on a variety of projects.

• Complete projects on schedule and within budget while upholding high-quality standards.

• Compile reports and presentations derived from data analysis and project results.

⛳️ Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).

• Experience: Over 10 years in industrial paper, corrugating, or design engineering settings.

• Exceptional communication and leadership abilities with the capacity to influence and collaborate effectively.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (or similar software).

• Willingness to travel frequently (80%)—at least 3 weeks per month.

• Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently or as part of a collaborative team.
