Senior Staff Client Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable tools and services for client platforms, defining the comprehensive technical strategy for platform automation and service delivery.

• Implement robust coding principles to guarantee repeatable, auditable, and version-controlled modifications across a diverse global client environment.

• Establish and uphold technical standards for platform automation, guiding other engineers and promoting the use of contemporary software engineering practices throughout IT.

• Work in collaboration with Security, Networking, and Product teams to systematically enhance platform reliability and improve the internal developer experience.

• Act as the lead architect for complex service delivery issues, conducting root-cause analyses and implementing long-term solutions for core platform services.

• Advocate for and suggest modifications to policies, standards, and architectural strategies, and develop processes that influence multiple teams or the larger organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS/MS or equivalent experience in Engineering or Computer Science.

• Over 12 years of experience in Client Platform Engineering.

• Advanced expertise in client platform engineering with a demonstrated history of managing large-scale global endpoint fleets.

• Proficient in Configuration as Code and Infrastructure as Code practices (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet) along with Git-based CI/CD workflows.

• Proven experience in creating internal tools, CLI applications, or microservices that automate intricate platform operations.

• Strong skills in software development (e.g., Python, Go, or Rust) specifically tailored to systems engineering and platform tooling.

• Excellent communication and partner management abilities, with a talent for aligning various teams towards a unified platform vision.
