Senior Staff Automation Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold automated tests to ensure extensive test coverage and prompt feedback on defects.

• Continuously enhance and sustain our testing frameworks.

• Contribute to defining the testing architecture across all frameworks and tools.

• Oversee test strategy, product testing, and planning within your sprint team.

• Produce documentation related to testing, including test plans and test cases.

• Identify and report bugs, ensuring timely tracking to resolution.

• Collaborate with the Product team to offer valuable insights that aid in creating impactful features.

• Deliver clear test results to Development and Product teams to assist in managing project expectations and progress.

• Develop and maintain security and performance testing.

• Gain in-depth knowledge of SmithRx products.

• Leverage AI tools like Playwright MCP, Claude, and Copilot to enhance efficiencies in daily tasks.

• Maintain and refine quality metrics to effectively track and communicate overall product health.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 12 years of experience in QA and automation testing with a proven history of team leadership.

• Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Typescript, Java, or Javascript.

• Experience in writing automated tests for APIs using a scripting or programming language.

• Familiarity with API automation frameworks such as Pytest or REST Assured.

• Knowledge of automation frameworks like Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.

• Understanding of the Page Object Model for UI automation.

• Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitHub Actions, CircleCI, or Jenkins.
