This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the complete architecture for the marketing engagement platform, encompassing journey/canvas design, segmentation strategy, campaign logic, deliverability, and dynamic content management.

• Design, construct, and enhance lifecycle automations for acquisition, enrollment, engagement, and retention journeys.

• Set and uphold governance standards related to naming conventions, template management, QA processes, and campaign documentation.

• Act as the internal subject matter expert (SME) for the marketing engagement platform — resolve issues, assess new platform features, and consistently drive optimization efforts.

• Collaborate with teams in CDP, CRM, product, and data engineering to define audience synchronization requirements, data mapping, behavioral event instrumentation, and pipeline specifications essential for lifecycle campaigns.

• Represent the MarTech perspective in discussions about data models and pipelines, translating campaign and automation requirements into clear data specifications while advocating for the necessary fields, events, and freshness standards for marketing.

• Lead coordination efforts across teams involved in member acquisition, enrollment, and journey management to synchronize campaign timing, cadence, and channel mix within a unified communication strategy.

• Recognize gaps and conflicts across journey stages and implement orchestration rules — including suppression logic, frequency caps, and priority sequencing — to ensure that every touchpoint aligns within a cohesive, member-focused framework.

• Identify and implement AI-driven opportunities (such as Claude and API-based automation) to enhance MarTech operations, content personalization, and campaign optimization.

• Develop and manage API integrations that link marketing platforms, internal tools, and third-party services.

• Continually assess emerging MarTech capabilities and recommend their adoption when a clear return on investment (ROI) is evident.

• Create and maintain Python-based scripts and automated jobs (e.g., scheduled ETL processes, audience list generation, campaign triggering) that operate on AWS infrastructure (Lambda, Step Functions, S3, EventBridge) to streamline and scale marketing operations.

• Design, deploy, and monitor automated marketing workflows in AWS — including cron-based scheduling, event-driven triggers, and error alerting — to guarantee reliable execution of campaigns and data syncs without manual intervention.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in lifecycle marketing teams — not limited to campaign execution, but encompassing strategy ownership, infrastructure management, and cross-functional collaboration.

• Practical experience with a variety of MarTech tools (CDP + messaging platform + CRM); must possess an understanding of how these systems interconnect and where data flow issues may arise.

• Experience utilizing AWS services (Lambda, S3, Step Functions, EventBridge) for deploying and overseeing automated marketing workflows.

• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Python, JavaScript) with a grasp of operator logic and software development principles.

• Experience in API development, webhooks, and integration patterns (such as REST APIs and JSON payloads).

• Practical knowledge of Braze or Hightouch — while not needing to be an expert, familiarity with core concepts and the ability to quickly learn is essential.

• SQL proficiency for data validation, audience queries, and troubleshooting data pipelines.

• Demonstrated experience using AI tools (Claude, GPT, or similar) to enhance operational workflows — extending beyond copywriting to include automating processes, developing internal tools, or streamlining data pipelines.

• Evidence of system design thinking — the capability to architect scalable solutions across various tools and teams, rather than just executing within a single platform.

• Strong technical communication abilities — capable of bridging the gap between marketers who focus on campaigns, engineers who think in schemas, and product teams who consider user flows.

• Proven ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional initiatives without direct authority.

• Experience in healthcare, digital health, or high-consideration consumer products.

🏝️ Benefits

• A competitive compensation package aligned with top technology firms.

• A remote and accomplished global team.

• Opportunity for equity participation.

• Unlimited vacation with manager approval.

• 16 weeks of fully paid parental leave for delivering parents and 8 weeks of fully paid parental leave for non-delivering parents.

• 100% employer-sponsored healthcare, dental, and vision coverage for you, with 80% coverage for your family; options for Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Account available.

• 401k retirement savings plan.
