This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Spearhead the creation of prominent impact litigation and legal strategies that promote and safeguard shareholder rights.
• Contest state and federal initiatives to inhibit investor assessment of environmental, social, and governance risks.
• Propel consumer protection, environmental, derivative, and associated actions that foster accountability and transformation.
• Respond swiftly and effectively to emerging legal, legislative, and regulatory challenges.
• Compose amicus briefs for submission in significant federal and state cases.
• Prepare regulatory petitions.
• Collaborate and communicate effectively with a diverse range of colleagues and organizations.
• Support staff in drafting resolutions and defending the company's objections to resolutions submitted to the SEC.
• Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree or its foreign equivalent.
• Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• A minimum of 3 years of post-graduate legal experience, including clerkships or fellowships, with a focus on litigation.
• Capacity to work independently in a remote setting while adhering to deadlines.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond promptly to new challenges.
• Adaptability, creativity, and a sense of humor.
