Senior Staff Actuary

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Overseeing the execution, upkeep, and thorough evaluation and analysis of models, studies, and systems utilizing actuarial principles.

• Creating complex models and instructing others on model development.

• Crafting written and verbal presentations to effectively convey information for decision-making processes.

• Managing daily projects that may involve non-Actuarial departments.

• Possessing a deep understanding of a specific actuarial domain or business segment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Economics.

• Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) and Membership in the American Academy of Actuaries (MAAA).

• Minimum of 5 years of actuarial experience in the health insurance sector or a related field.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills to produce effective documentation, facilitate training and development, and engage in presentations.

• Proficiency in PC applications including Word and Excel.

• Preferred experience with Access, SQL, Visual Basic, or other programming skills.

• Experience with Medicare Part D is preferred.
