
Lead Actuary β Pharmacy Pricing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Act as a subject matter expert in pharmacy pricing and rebate guarantees, collaborating with Underwriting, Clinical, Trade, Legal, Sales, and senior leadership.
β’ Lead the creation, assessment, and presentation of intricate pricing analyses, projections, and actuarial models.
β’ Take ownership of and execute ad hoc pharmacy data analyses to assess rebate performance, market events, and actual versus expected outcomes.
β’ Provide strategic pricing advice on formulary methodologies and rebate structures, leveraging market research and financial modeling.
β’ Present analyses and recommendations to senior stakeholders and clients, confidently addressing detailed and challenging questions.
β’ Lead impactful, cross-functional workstreams that necessitate strong judgment, prioritization, and accountability.
β’ Mentor and support Analysts and junior Actuaries through technical guidance and continuous feedback.
β’ Keep track of health policy, regulatory, and market changes while evaluating their implications for pricing strategies.
β’ Ensure adherence to relevant federal regulations and actuarial standards.
β’ Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Math, Actuarial Science, Economics, or Finance, or an equivalent combination of education and/or relevant work experience; a high school diploma or GED is mandatory.
β’ A minimum of 8 years of actuarial experience, with at least 6 years in a healthcare organization or Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM).
β’ Possession of an actuarial designation (ASA or FSA).
β’ Must be authorized to work in the United States without the necessity for a work visa or residency sponsorship.
β’ Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with SAS, SQL, VBA, or similar tools is preferred.
β’ Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, capable of navigating ambiguity.
β’ Proficiency in managing multiple complex priorities and delivering results within tight deadlines.
β’ Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills.
β’ Strong client-facing and executive presentation abilities.
