This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Lead the expansion into new states by contributing to the development of rating models, creating additional customer-focused models, and addressing DOI inquiries.
β’ Enhance and broaden product analytics capabilities to deepen the understanding of Product Profitability and operationalize insights.
β’ Aid in generating formal actuarial deliverables as required, including rate indications, updates to the rating plan, reinsurance assessments, and loss modeling.
β’ Create and improve analytical frameworks and capabilities in collaboration with our Senior Research Actuary.
β’ Build efficient processes that facilitate the integration of our analytical frameworks and capabilities into daily operations, producing outputs like descriptive reporting, anomaly detection, diagnostic tools, modeled forecasting, and accuracy monitoring.
β’ Regularly test and incorporate newly available tools and capabilities to enhance the scale and rigor of our actuarial functions.
β’ 2-4 years of experience in insurance pricing, ideally with a focus on personal lines insurance pricing.
β’ Progress towards ACAS/FCAS designations, preferably having completed 3 or more exams.
β’ Strong technical skills in SQL and analytical abilities to conduct quantitative analyses through data manipulation, often working in ambiguous situations and utilizing creativity.
β’ Familiarity with Python.
β’ Excellent communication abilities.
β’ Experience with Homeowners and/or Auto insurance is advantageous.
