Senior SRE Consultant, AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Assist customers in adopting cloud technologies by providing both technical and strategic guidance.

• Consult with clients to plan, design, and implement tailored cloud solutions.

• Construct and deploy infrastructure to meet customer needs.

• Automate observability processes and disaster recovery solutions.

• Develop automation tools, reference architectures, white papers, technical briefs, and implementation code.

• Convert customer needs and feedback into technology roadmaps and improved offerings.

• Support the implementation of reference architectures.

• Collaborate with Marketing/Alliances to write blog posts and create internal case studies.

• Establish self-service observability frameworks, which include playbooks, monitoring, logging, alerts, metrics, and dashboards.

• Develop automated disaster recovery frameworks utilizing Infrastructure-as-Code, failover playbooks, runbooks, workflows, and self-healing automation.

• Define and execute GameDay capabilities, resiliency strategies, chaos tests, MVPs, automated testing, and monitoring dashboards.

• Facilitate GameDay events and provide knowledge transfer to customer stakeholders.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven experience in architecting and operating observability, monitoring, and automated disaster recovery solutions on AWS.

• Experience in customer-facing roles related to software or technology.

• Legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

• Proficiency in Python and Bash scripting.

• Familiarity with Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, DataDog, Splunk, Nagios, Grafana, Gremlin, Cloud Endure, and Dynatrace.

• Knowledge of AWS services, including CloudFormation, AWS CLI, AWS CDK, S3, Backup, EC2, ECS, EKS, ECR, Lambda, RDS, DynamoDB, Aurora, VPC, Fault Injection Simulator, AWS Organizations, CloudWatch, Auto Scaling, Config, CloudTrail, Systems Manager, IAM, Security Hub, SNS, SQS, Step Functions, and EventBridge.
