Senior SQL Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop intricate SQL queries and scripts for the purposes of data extraction, manipulation, and reporting.

• Establish and uphold database schemas, tables, indexes, views, functions, triggers, and stored procedures.

• Design and execute SQL Database architectures that guarantee scalability and high availability.

• Create, evaluate, and optimize SQL queries to efficiently manage substantial data volumes while ensuring performance and reliability.

• Apply validation rules and data checks to confirm the accuracy, consistency, and completeness of essential reporting datasets.

• Examine cloud-based SQL queries and database performance metrics to propose and implement optimization strategies.

• Assist in preparing precise and traceable data for regulatory reporting, ensuring adherence to financial regulations and internal standards.

• Participate in the design and upkeep of scalable, cloud-native data pipelines utilizing Azure services to manage and transform data seamlessly.

• Collaborate closely with business analysts, data engineers, and stakeholders from various markets to ensure alignment on regulatory requirements and reporting logic.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of professional experience is required.

• Proficiency in working with MS SQL.

• Experience in conducting root cause analysis on both internal and external data and processes to address specific business inquiries and identify improvement opportunities.

• Familiarity with stored procedures and performance optimization techniques.

• A proactive mindset towards designing solution proposals.

• Knowledge in manipulating, processing, and extracting value from large, disparate datasets.

• Advanced expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio.

• Proficient English language skills.

• Preferred: Familiarity with reporting tools such as PowerBI, Tableau, QlikView, etc.

• Backend Development experience in .NET is a plus.

• Experience with Azure DevOps (CI/CD Pipelines).

• Knowledge of document storage or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB).
