Senior SQL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Tasked with the development of new features and enhancements to existing functionalities, dedicating 75% of the allocated time as specified in the budget table.

• Charged with addressing client requirements and priorities, ensuring alignment with the budget table and the overall company strategy.

• Responsible for analyzing the functional specification (FS); if necessary, returning the FS for completion of scope and suggesting alternative implementation strategies to the business or product analyst that would deliver more value to the client while minimizing system impact.

• Accountable for defining technical requirements, executing tasks, and mentoring other developers to ensure adherence to governance standards.

• Responsible for validating the estimated development hours for each project in collaboration with the Senior Business Analyst or relevant leadership.

• Tasked with distributing development tasks among team members while providing the necessary technical guidance.

• Responsible for conducting Code Reviews on the code produced by the team's analysts, ensuring that implementations comply with technical and governance standards and adhere to development best practices.

• Accountable for maintenance activities, including fixing bugs in programs and components, creating scripts for database adjustments, assessing potential impacts of issues on client operations, and notifying the business analyst for client communication.

• Actively engage with leadership in planning project structures and provide support to understand assigned activities, sharing ideas or suggesting actions that facilitate project completion.

• Assist leadership in ensuring compliance with schedules and client commitments based on deadlines established with management.

• Develop unit tests (TDD).

• Refactor code for assigned routines.

• Generate evidence and documentation for completed development tasks.

• Upon completion of development, submit deliverables to the quality assurance area for final validation, support the QA process, and recommend additional tests when changes could affect multiple areas not specified in the project's functional documentation.

• Actively participate in the deployment of systems/modules at the client site: evaluating the optimal deployment strategy, managing data migration processes, handling system versioning, and assisting the business/product analyst with system configuration.

• Provide technical support and/or training to new developers regarding development tools.

• Currently enrolled in a higher education program in technology or a related field.

• Strong understanding of programming logic.

• Proficient in SQL.

• Experience with C# is preferred.

• Well-versed in Visual Studio.

• Familiarity with Agile methodologies is an advantage.
