This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Oversee product, process, and formulation development initiatives for innovation, renovation, optimization, and productivity projects.
• Offer technical expertise to enhance formulation, optimize processes, troubleshoot issues, and implement cost-saving strategies.
• Manage scale-up, validation, and transfer of products and technologies to both internal manufacturing facilities and external partners.
• Conduct and supervise technical trials, risk assessments, and qualification processes to ensure successful product commercialization and performance.
• Proactively identify and resolve manufacturing, formulation, and quality challenges to uphold project timelines and product standards.
• Direct project execution, track progress, question assumptions when necessary, and guarantee the attainment of project goals and deadlines.
• Collaborate with Quality, Regulatory, Marketing, Procurement, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and R&D teams to achieve project results.
• Utilize structured problem-solving approaches to analyze and address technical and operational issues.
• Assist in maintaining technical documentation, such as master batch records, change controls, product specifications, QMS documentation, and other related records.
• Guide and mentor junior team members while fostering technical expertise across TAG and manufacturing teams.
• Ensure all activities comply with company policies, safety regulations, SOPs, cGMPs, and regulatory standards.
• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Science, Food Science, or a similar discipline.
• A minimum of 3 years of practical experience in product development, formulation, and manufacturing involving tablets, capsules, liquids, soft gels, gummies, powders, packaging, or related technologies.
• Proven knowledge of product development, technical and manufacturing processes, and principles of food science.
• Experience leading medium-complexity technical projects and effectively collaborating within cross-functional teams.
• Prior experience in a manufacturing or factory setting.
• Familiarity with product scale-up, validation, and technology transfer processes.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Preferred experience with SAP, SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences), and/or Minitab for data management, reporting, statistical analysis, and process enhancement initiatives.
• Capability to be exposed to food allergens and allergen-containing materials.
• Understanding of food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Willingness to travel approximately 30% of the time.
