
Senior Specialist, Project Control and Project Controlling in Plant Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Austria.
• Design, improve, and sustain integrated project schedules for intricate industrial and plant engineering initiatives throughout all project phases (from planning to execution).
• Coordinate and merge sub-schedules from all project stakeholders (engineering, procurement, construction, and external partners) into a unified master schedule.
• Conduct schedule oversight including analysis of project progress, critical paths, and discrepancies against the baseline schedule.
• Generate schedule and progress reports while identifying and communicating risks, opportunities, and recommended actions to project management and the project team.
• Assist project management with scheduling strategies, change management, and evaluating project impacts on milestones and the comprehensive schedule.
• Implement and further refine lean methodologies and best practices in schedule management to enhance project workflows.
• Lead scheduling and control workshops and act as the primary interface for all scheduling-related matters within the project.
• Ensure the quality, consistency, and traceability of all schedule-related data and documentation.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (e.g., civil engineering, mechanical engineering, process engineering, industrial engineering).
• Several years of relevant professional experience in schedule management, preferably in industrial, plant engineering, or energy projects.
• Strong background in developing and controlling complex project schedules and familiarity with project management methods such as the Critical Path Method.
• Preferable: experience in EPC/EPCM projects and collaborating with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Methodical, accountable, and analytical work style with a strong focus on solutions and the capability to maintain oversight in complex project scenarios.
• Proficient in scheduling software (Primavera P6, MS Project).
• Experience in schedule control, reporting, and analysis of project metrics.
• Proficient in German and competent in English, confident in using MS Office, and willing to travel as required by project needs.
