This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Independently execute the monthly payroll processing for a specified group of employees.
• Ensure efficient HR administration throughout the employee lifecycle, including contract management, master data maintenance, and issuance of certificates.
• Act as a liaison for employees, managers, and external parties (e.g., social insurance agencies, authorities) regarding payroll-related inquiries.
• Assist with internal and external audits conducted by auditors, social insurance agencies, or tax authorities.
• Support the ongoing enhancement and optimization of People Operations and payroll processes.
• Contribute to HR controlling through analyses, reports, and the development of key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Collaborate closely with related departments such as Finance and HR Business Partnering.
• A structured, reliable, and solution-focused individual with a strong numerical aptitude and a commitment to high-quality standards.
• Completed vocational training in HR (e.g., certified HR specialist) or an equivalent qualification; alternatively, substantial experience in payroll accounting, such as at a tax consulting firm.
• Several years of professional experience in payroll, preferably in HR administration.
• Solid understanding of payroll tax and social security legislation.
• Initial experience or a keen interest in HR controlling and HR metrics.
• Proficient user of standard HR and payroll systems with excellent Excel skills; familiarity with zvoove PDL, zvoove Payroll, Datev, and Personio is advantageous.
• Interest in—and ideally experience with—implementing AI technologies.
• Discretion, a sense of responsibility, and enjoyment of teamwork.
• Strong proficiency in German; English language skills are a plus.
