• Conduct research, compose, and manage legal content that is clear, up-to-date, and practical, ensuring alignment with market practices, customer requirements, and business goals.
• Review and refine content produced by colleagues or external expert contributors.
• Stay informed on legal, practice, and market trends to guarantee that content remains accurate, relevant, and in sync with business objectives.
• Leverage your legal expertise to contribute to the creation of customer-oriented, AI-powered legal solutions from Thomson Reuters.
• Utilize your legal knowledge and editorial capabilities to aid in the development and deployment of internal AI editorial tools.
• Cultivate and sustain relationships with legal professionals and industry organizations to ensure that content mirrors current market practices.
• Apply your specialized legal insights to support the broader Thomson Reuters team, collaborating with product management, sales, marketing, and technological functions as needed.
• You are an ideal candidate if you are a qualified solicitor or advocate in Scotland and possess:
• Significant post-qualification experience as a corporate/commercial lawyer in a law firm, in-house, or at the bar in the UK.
• Extensive experience in areas such as Private M&A, company formation and administration, supply of goods and services terms and conditions, confidentiality agreements, and general contract law.
• Basic understanding of partnership law.
• Excellent writing abilities, with a passion for accurately and concisely discussing legal practices in plain English.
• A collaborative attitude with the capability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Strong technical proficiency and the capacity to effectively utilize various tools, including generative AI technologies, to boost productivity and precision.
• The adaptability and flexibility to engage in diverse projects and tasks within the generative AI domain as well as new and emerging technologies.
• A curious mindset, particularly regarding the growing intersection of AI and legal practice, being open to change.
• Experience in utilizing AI tools within legal work.
