This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develop and uphold superior online legal content.
• Investigate, compose, and sustain practical legal knowledge content related to data privacy and cybersecurity.
• Keep track of legal, practice, and market changes in data privacy and cybersecurity on a global scale.
• Assist in the creation of AI-driven tools and explore strategies for content generation and AI solutions.
• Collaborate with Product Management to drive innovation in technology development and product enhancements.
• Build relationships with external law firm contributors and industry organizations.
• Provide support to sales and marketing teams, as well as respond to client inquiries.
• Juris Doctor (JD) degree is required.
• At least eight (8) years of experience as a lawyer in a law firm or in-house, with expertise in both Canadian and non-Canadian data privacy and cybersecurity issues, focusing on compliance.
• Experience managing intricate, global privacy compliance issues under data protection laws in the US, EU, Asia-Pacific, and Latin America is advantageous.
• Strong technical capabilities and proficiency in utilizing various tools, including generative AI technologies.
• Proven adaptability and flexibility to engage in diverse projects within the generative AI landscape.
• A profound curiosity about AI and legal practice, coupled with a desire to develop legal prompt engineering skills.
• Awareness of current market challenges and proposals to implement, amend, or modify data privacy and cybersecurity laws and regulations.
• Understanding the needs and priorities of attorneys in law firms, in-house counsel, and compliance professionals.
• A skillful and enthusiastic approach to writing about intricate legal matters in a clear and concise manner, using plain English.
• An innovative and agile thinker with exceptional time management and project management abilities.
