This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +6 more states.
• Serves as the primary contracts specialist for designated projects throughout their lifecycle.
• Develops, prepares, reviews, and manages agreements, including all accompanying documents and/or memoranda, ensuring compliance with policies, regulations, and statutes.
• Provides reviewed, edited, and 'ready-for-approval' contractual actions or other documentation for internal review and approval (e.g., Senior Contracts Manager review).
• Supports, participates in, and/or acts as the lead moderator in moderate-to-highly complex contract negotiations with performers and/or customers, as assigned.
• Leads efforts to troubleshoot and resolve contractual issues, escalating to management when necessary.
• Reviews contract terms to assess potential risks and monitors compliance issues at the prime, performer, and sub-performer levels.
• Prepares high-quality documentation, correspondence, and presentations to support various actions.
• Analyzes supporting materials and agreement documents, conducts timely research, and shares findings with the supervisor and/or team as needed.
• Drafts high-quality documentation and correspondence.
• Works in coordination with the supervisor and team as the primary liaison between the organization and performers/customers for the assigned workload.
• Maintains precise, thorough, and complete contract records to ensure compliance with contractual, reporting, and regulatory requirements.
• Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree in a relevant field such as Business Administration.
• At least 5+ years of relevant contracting experience.
• Ability to possess or obtain SECRET-level clearance.
• Direct experience in contract execution, procurement, or acquisition supporting a defense-focused contracting portfolio.
• Working knowledge and practical experience with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and other pertinent regulations and instructions.
• Experience managing projects and contracts from inception to conclusion.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Capacity to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• Proficient in negotiating terms and resolving conflicts.
• Demonstrated expertise in contract-related communications and research.
• Familiarity with DoD acquisition policies related to R&D efforts and/or alternative contracting methods.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple deadline-driven tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, regulations, policies, and project requirements.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in contract documentation and management.
• Proficient in contract management software and tools, as well as general office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
