This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.
• Implement improvements in policies, technical aspects, and processes for government space technology research and development (R&D) as well as demonstration initiatives.
• Assist NASA’s Small Spacecraft Technology (SST) and Flight Opportunities (FO) Programs.
• Collaborate with the SST/FO Program Executive and other program staff.
• Offer suggestions to customize NASA's R&D program and project management guidelines to minimize flight preparation time while maintaining an appropriate risk profile.
• Engage with Senior NASA personnel at various centers and headquarters to achieve consensus on customized requirements.
• Methodically identify, propose, and implement enhancements to program policies and processes.
• Record program processes and policies.
• Aid in strategy, management, and integration operations.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• Experience in managing space flight projects or programs.
• Background in risk-tolerant or iterative methodologies for space technology R&D and demonstrations.
• Knowledge of common SST mission components, including spectrum licensing, orbital debris evaluations, and launch safety documentation.
• Master's degree in a relevant field.
• 18 years of pertinent work experience.
