This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Take the lead in venue sourcing for intricate, high-value client meetings and events.
• Serve as a strategic consultant, ensuring sourcing decisions align with client objectives and business goals.
• Utilize Cvent and other tools to manage RFPs and collect venue proposals.
• Conduct site visits and negotiate contracts that reflect the interests of both ALTOUR and the client.
• Supervise venue contracting and guarantee a seamless transition to the Meeting Planner for execution.
• Maintain and communicate precise venue-related budget information for client decision-making and financial reporting.
• Ensure prompt and accurate data entry in Cvent and other internal systems.
• Provide financial insights to facilitate project close-out.
• Collaborate with Sales, Planning, Finance, and Event Technology teams for smooth program execution.
• Stay updated on sourcing trends and mentor others accordingly.
• Engage in supplier education through fam trips and seminars.
• Remain knowledgeable about ALTOUR supplier agreements and sourcing best practices.
• Lead training initiatives to foster team development as necessary.
• Cultivate a positive and collaborative team environment.
• Inspire and influence colleagues to meet business objectives.
• Act as a sourcing subject matter expert and informal mentor through skill-sharing sessions, onboarding, and upskilling support.
• 7+ years of relevant experience in the meetings and events industry with a focus on sourcing.
• 3-4 years of experience planning high-profile programs, ideally with a sourcing emphasis.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Profound understanding of meetings and incentive planning with a strong emphasis on venue sourcing.
• Ability to align sourcing strategies with client business objectives, brand standards, and budget constraints.
• Demonstrated capability to manage multiple, highly complex projects with competing priorities and deadlines.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail to ensure budget accuracy, proposals, and reporting.
• Comfortable navigating ambiguity and resolving problems under tight deadlines.
• Proficient in building trust with clients, including senior stakeholders and executive-level contacts.
• Exceptional negotiation and communication skills; able to balance client priorities with business needs.
• Collaborative team player who excels in a cross-functional environment while also being able to work independently.
• Enthusiasm for mentorship and knowledge-sharing to enhance team development and performance growth.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Microsoft Teams.
• Experienced in Cvent for RFP management, proposal assessment, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with SmartSheet or similar tools for project tracking, reporting, and task management preferred.
• Comfortable working with CRM, budget management, and sourcing intelligence platforms.
