Senior Solutions Engineer – Platform & Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with sales and product teams to grasp customer needs and craft customized satellite communication solutions.

• Perform site surveys and feasibility assessments to identify optimal solutions for new clients.

• Supervise the installation, configuration, and testing of Quvia systems across various business sectors.

• Diagnose complex issues during the proof of concept (POC) phase and collaborate with customers, QA, and Engineering teams to implement solutions.

• Create and sustain detailed documentation for solutions and services.

• Serve as a technical consultant to clients regarding best practices and effective use of terrestrial and satellite communication systems.

• Facilitate training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams on Quvia products and their value propositions.

• Keep abreast of the latest developments in Quvia systems.

• Coordinate with sales, product management, systems, engineering, QA, and service delivery teams to ensure successful project implementation.

• Oversee the transition from POC to service delivery and support.

• Design solutions across a range of hardware and contribute to the implementation and quality of Quvia's next-generation products.

• Set expectations, communicate progress and action items, manage project timelines, balance workloads, and ensure commitments are fulfilled.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Science, or a related area.

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in customer-facing solutions engineering.

• Proven experience in technical discovery and scoping, with a prototyping approach supporting demonstrations and the complete POC lifecycle.

• At least 3 years of experience implementing networking concepts.

• Proficient in Linux command-line operations.

• Experience in scripting with Python or Bash.

• Familiarity with using REST APIs and JSON for integration tasks.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in sizing, testing, and validating server hardware.

• Knowledge of hypervisors such as VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or KVM.

• At least 3 years of front-end development experience for rapid dashboards using JavaScript frameworks or tools like Grafana.

• Basic understanding of data engineering and analytics, including pipeline development, SQL, and translating network telemetry into actionable insights.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Capacity to manage competing priorities concurrently.

• Preferred: familiarity with network telemetry and observability, including SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, syslog, SQL, and Grafana.

• Preferred: experience in vertical domains such as aviation, maritime, cruise, hospitality, or offshore energy.
